Graphic Design for Creative Projects
Papernoise Design is a studio located in northern Italy, specialised in graphic design for creative projects. We are a multi-disciplinary team with a strong network of external collaborators. We mainly focus on these areas:
Illustration and Animation
These are our core strengths which permeate most projects we work on, be it illustrations for album covers, puzzle pictures, visual identity, video game art or animated shorts. We focus on two main styles: one more whimsical and cute, the other more realistic and heavily inspired by retro sci-fi and horror themes.
We apply our skills in graphic and interface design to assist the creation of musical hardware and software. We have experience with a wide range of devices and applications: synth panels and enclosures, guitar pedals, studio racks, DAW plug-ins and sample libraries.
Interface design, animation, illustration
Hannes Pasqualini is responsible for most of the design work made at Papernoise. He studied film at Zelig in Bolzano and at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. Later he graduated in product and communication design at the Free University of Bolzano.
He is an electronic music gear enthusiast. He co-founded the collective kvsu and makes music with the duo Agente Levitante and solo as Kurodama.
Illustration and character design
Elizabeth Busani is responsible for a good share of the illustration and character design work at Papernoise. When you see something cute and colourful in our portfolio, there’s probably her hand at work. She studied illustration at the Scuola del Fumetto di Milano.
